It's March
Hey Y'All. How are you? Things are going great out here in Crotone. The sun is shining and it is starting to get warm. I love the warm weather...nothing beats the warm weather. I hope all is well back in the great state of Utah and I hope that life is going smooth for everyone. This passed week was pretty good. Lots of Ups and Lots of Downs...but that is how this life is.
So I am going to tell you about 2 of our investigators. Antonella and Gianluca. They are not married and they live together. They were both previously married and Gianluca is going through a divorce. In Italy it takes 3 full years to get a proper divorce. His divorce wasn't supposed to finish until December 2016....So a few weeks ago we decided to fast for them and hope for a miracle. Well we got what we wanted...This week the Italian Law Changed...Now Divorces can end right away. How amazing is that....Fasting works. Now Gianluca will be able to finish his divorce, and Him and Antonella will be able to married...and then Baptized. They have already committed to be baptized...We were just waiting for a miracle like this...and we got it.
There is a bunch of potential right now in Crotone. Alfredo, the old man from English course that we love, has started coming to church. This Sunday he even came in a shirt and tie. It was so good to see him walk into sacrament yesterday. Hopefully soon we will get to Him.
Sister Amoruso, the inactive lady whose husband died years ago and I took a rose to on Valentines Day, is still coming to church and seems to be doing much better.
I got my first transfer call on Saturday and it sucks really... My Trainer is leaving to go serve in Catania as a Zone Leader and another Elder is coming here to be with me. I haven't heard to many good things about this new Elder coming in.....but I will try my best to love him and work hard with him. I get to start my next transfer with him on Thursday.
The Thing that I learned this passed week is that Gods Laws are much Higher then Our Laws. He knows what we need, and He is the only one who knows our Full Potential. This next transfer might not be the easiest...but God gives us what we need, not always what we want. There is not teacher like adversity. Adversity can either make you stronger, or make you crumble. It is your own decision to decide what you do, with what God gives you. I am very grateful for the time that I had with Anziano Kiser....He was such a good missionary and was so good for me. God puts the people in our lives that need to be there. His timing is perfect.
My quote for this next transfer is...
"Happiness must be earned from day to day...but it is well worth the effort."
Being Happy is up to us. We can choose to be happy or choose to be miserable. God wants us to be happy, and nothing but happy. He will give us some challenging times, but that is just because he wants to make sure that we are Happy in the End. This life is such a beautiful thing, and this mission is such a beautiful thing. I am going to try to be the Happiest that I can be all of the time. Because Happy people are the Best people.
Christ alone changes man...One changed man has the power to change the world. I am a firm believer that we are all born with greatness. God has given us all gifts and talents. It is our responsibility to find those and develop them the best that we can. No one is destined to fail. No one.....Now the reason that I am saying this is because I am announcing a major goal of mine right now...
My goal is to one day play, and start at, Quarterback at Brigham Young University. I may not start there...but where I want to be in the end is BYU. I will do anything in my power to get there.
I love you all so much. I am so grateful for all of you and the examples that you are to me. I pray for each of you every morning and night and I think of you often. Thank You all for the prayers and the support. I could not do this without the love and support from home. I am blessed with the best family and the greatest friends.
I will keep up the hard work here in Crotone and hopefully get some people dunked in the baptismal font in this next transfer.
Have the best week everyone. I Love You All.
Find Your Greatness.
