First Week in Italy
Hey! I hope all is well back at home! I miss you so so so much...It was so good and so hard to call home! I cried at the end of every phone call. I love you all so much! I would do anything to make sure that you are okay and that everything back home is good! I pray every morning and night that all of your problems, worries, fears, and doubts will be taken from you and placed upon me. I can take them! I dont want you guys to have to worry about everything....I just love you guys so so so much! Keep Being Strong!!
Italy is so different. It is a major culture shock, but in a good way! I love it here! I have a way sick trainer! He is from St George! Anziano Cole Kiser is His name and He is seriously such a good guy! We have so much fun! Always are laughing and talking to people on the street! We have the nicest apartment in the mission! It overlooks the entire city that we are in and is so so so Sick! The Italian is still pretty hard for me to understand...I haven't really said anything to anyone other then where I am from and Who I Am...Conversations are hard for me to carry on with people, but it will get better with time!
My first area in the Mission here is a place called Crotone! Crotone is sweet. It is at the bottom half of Italy and is a pretty cool place. Get on google maps and check it out sometime! The one thing about Crotone is......Crotone is where the Mafia is the strongest in Italy. DO NOT worry about that though! The Mafia is not a problem to missionaries and they respect us for what we do! Crotone is sweet!
We have some pretty GOLDEN investigator families here and I will give you so more updates on them next week! We are super close with one small family here! We went to their house on saturday night and they taught me how to play a game and we taught them a lesson! They are a SWEET family and are very kind to me!
Our Church is pretty small, talking about the building. We have about 25 - 30 active members and they are all pretty nice. Yesterday I was called on to Bare my Testimony is Sacrament so that was a neat experience! The Sacrament over here is so Rowdy though...That kind of bothered me. There isnt a whole lot of reverence...So I miss that about Home! Also the Italians are HORRIBLE singers.. hahahah I just laughed through my first Hymn yesterday! It was pretty funny!
The Jet Lag was horrible...Still is kind of bad, but it is getting better! I sleep so so so good here! It is pretty nice!
All in All Italy is pretty Sick so far! People Drive so so so Crazy!! The food is super good and I have a Sweet Trainer! Our apartment is so nice and The People in Italy are so so so Kind! Everyone says hello back to us on the Streets! I love it!
I hope that everything back home is good! You are always in my prayers and in my heart! I think about you each and everyday! I love you with all of my hearts!
Ne Vale La Pena! That means.... It is worth the pain.
This is the hardest thing that I have ever done, and I know that it is the hardest thing for you at home! Just know that everything will be okay and that the blessings are raining down from Heaven! I love you so so much!!
I will be home soon! Just have to take it one day at a time!! You all are always on my mind and in my heart!! Always in my prayers!! Time is going so fast out here and I hope is it going fast at home!!
I love you so so so much...always remember that!
I am going to make you proud.
it is worth the pain.
much love and many prayers...
your son,
